Celebrating People

(2-minute read)

We know that we’re inspired to courage on learning of the courageous stories of others. We have 100+ stories of courage right here – whether these be interviews, blogs or guest story-tellers from our past #courageconferences. If you’d like to be inspired, read on …

Here are a handful of the stories of inspirational and courageous people who have shared their stories with me:

  • Molly, A Leap of Courage. In her story, Molly demonstrates that you can be fearful and still be courageous at the same time.
  • Emma Youngman, Now What? True to her word, Emma has gone from “now what?” to “what’s next?” She’s currently continuing to explore the world and all that it offers.
  • Jasmine Garbino, Moving to Sydney: A Time I Felt Courageous. At time of publication, Jasmine wrote, “This is the most courageous thing we’ve ever done—saying goodbye to family and friends without knowing what was next.” Jasmine and her partner have some plans for what’s next which are super exciting and courageous too. I wonder if I can convince her to share these with us in another blog?
  • Zoe Raftopoulos, How Can We Find Courage in Everyday Moments. In this blog, Zoe shares the courage she demonstrates in everyday moments at work.  A few days ago, I listened as Zoe shared another story of an everyday workplace moment. While she did not use the following words, there is no doubt that she showed tremendous courage and vulnerability in speaking up in support of a decision that she and her colleagues had made for a client, even though the family did not agree. She demonstrated courage in sticking by what she knew was right and the best outcome for their client.
  • Anon, Head or Heart?. Our guest blogger shares their story of perhaps one of the most significant acts of love – being courageous and showing compassion to another, resulting in own heartbreak.

I’m keen to hear of what you have learnt from these stories. I’m also keen to keep sharing stories of courage for as long as people would like to share them with me. If you’re keen, come take a seat; I’d be honoured to listen to, and share, your story.

You will find many more stories here. Happy reading and listening.
